D3 Lifeline: The Zone
Setting off in the Zone – where the topics are relevant, the teaching is practical and the solution is sure. It’s a place where Christ steps out of the pages into their everyday living. From challenges with sex (remaining abstinent), bullying, gangs and more, they learn that Jesus Christ is there and He cares for them.
Teen Activities include:
• Teens meet together on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of every month
• On 3rd Thursdays, boys and girls have separate breakout sessions that focus on gender specific development
• 2 lock-ins occur throughout the year: 1 for boys and 1 for girls
• March Madness Fun Night at the Corporate Center
• There is an annual Youth Trip to an amusement park
Throughout the year the teens are able to utilize and increase the gifts and talents that God has placed in them through various ministries geared specifically for teens: hip hop dance and stepping. However, they are also encouraged to serve (actually serve) throughout the church with other ministries (ushering, flags, dancers, drama, parking lot ministry and aid the children’s ministry)
Our goal is to introduce and ignite our teens to have a relationship with the Lord, which will stick with them and allow His voice to have the most influence in their lives.
